- Nine American Equity Underwriter’s Large Shipyard Safety and Health awards
- Nineteen Shipbuilders’ Council of America awards - 11 for Excellence in Safety and eight for Improvements to Safety
- Independence-variant LCS inducted into the Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame
- Minority Business Advocate of the Year award presented by the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce
- Three-time Alabama Manufacturer of the Year
- Mobile County Public School System's Workforce Development Award
- Spirit of the Gulf Coast Award - United Way of Southwest Alabama’s highest form of recognition for community support
- Workboat Magazine’s Significant Boats presented to Austal USA as the shipbuilder and designer of several of our vessels over the past decade, including two of our Expeditionary Fast Transports and a Littoral Combat Ship
